My Mind Is On Kittens Lately...

Cat Emergency At Battersea As Fewer Prospective Owners Come Forward

Saturday...lovely Saturday...

I love the laziness of Saturdays...I just finished Blue Is For Nightmares...Book 1...it was good but not what I expected...I NEED MORE AMAZING VAMPIRES...I know I will get over this phase soon but for right now...it is just not happening...I am going to read  Chloe Neill's Firespell...it has what I am craving...more boarding school vampires...I can't wait and I don't think I will be disappointed.   Just got some tees in the mail from my newest favorite online shop called Alternative Apparel...everything is cottony and soft and overwashed and just beautiful...I bought one lovely lonely tee for my husband and four for me...sort of swingy 3/4 sleeve yummiliscious lovelies perfectly right for this time of year...In a few days I will order the tank dress...tons of colors...perfect with tights and a sweater...I am a big fan of Bravo's Kell On Earth and everyone on that show practically lives in this stuff...there are tights and dresses and shorts and pants and tees...I seriously have to restrain myself...here is my dirty little secret...if I love something...I will buy it in nearly every color...something about my genetic make up causes me to read and buy in multiples...yikes!!!  Anyone out there have a similar vice?

I believe that Lucy is actually proud of what she has done to her cat puppet. It is barely recognizable and is so severely damaged that she cannot play with it unsupervised any more...so sad...every once in a while I pull him out and let her hold him...what will she do when my plan to get her a baby brother...whom is already named Winston Cooper Kitty...is fulfilled...will she want him or will she do to him what she has done to her puppet...hmmm...she has been the only kitty for a while now...and is loving and sweet but very very spoiled...
Not yet into Blue Is For Nightmares but I think that is only because I just started it and I always have a difficult time transitioning to new characters after a series...so...I should know how much I love it soon enough.  Although it is sunny out...the melting snow is covering much muddiness.  Even my jaunt to the bird feeder left my  UGGS a disastrous mess...hmm...can they be washed?
I really just want to read my book and read blogs and watch CSI...not a work out day...not a walking day...a sort of restful day...sushi for dinner and a nice glass of wine...

What To Read...What To Read...

I am finished with Stargazer...it truly was filled with excitement and intensity and gave me a huge craving for steak.   Which is really odd since I am mostly a flexible vegetarian and can go without eating anything meaty for months...but I am sort of craving a yummy steak.  I really even hate saying that but I was not capable of finishing this series without craving a hamburger or a thick meaty steak.  There is something so fascinating about  boarding school vampires who are being threatened not only by vampire hunters but also by wraiths... sort of ghostly creatures that turn everything they touch into ice...vampires included.  This was a really good series and I know Claudia Gray is not finished with Bianca and Lucas and the amazing Balthazar yet...there has to be a third book on the way.

I whispernetted House Of Dark Shadows and Watcher In The Woods both by Robert Liparulo and it was my intention to begin with the first book in that series but...I am leaning more toward Holly Black or Melissa Marr or Lesley Livingston...I will decide later today.   I have them all I am just not sure what I am in the mood for.  It is always sad for me to leave a series.  I am so connected with the writing and the characters so choosing the next book is a challenging task.  I also have an interest in the Blue Is For Nightmare Series by Laurie Faria Stolarz...so...that might be at the top of my list...

Evernight...Overdosing On Vampires?

Hmm...I thought I might be but now I do not...I just finished Evernight...really loved it...I have a review on Goodreads and I am beginning Stargazer as well as preordering the third book in this series.  The author is Claudia Gray ( I just found out that this is a psuedonym ) and she has a totally different view of vampires.  They are developed quite uniquely.  One of my favorite parts of the first book is when the vampires at Evernight Academy are required to take a class called Modern Technology...to learn how to use Ipods and microwaves...so funny...and this is not a book with a comedic theme...
