Eleventy Times Three...the Grand Finale!!!

Of course I forgot one part of this tagging extravaganza...lol...posting eleven things about yourself for each tag!!!
Hah!!!
I owe 33 things...and I am delivering...

Set One...

I have to go in and out of the same door.
My husband thinks I have greenish eyes.
I love traditions.
I buy too many books.
I buy too many dishes.
I buy lots of clothes.
I have to buy things in groups of three.
I read only one book at time.
I hate audio.
I love a fork filled with cold twirly pasta.
I can't go to up to bed unless the family room is neat.

Set Two

I prep for dinner as though I am on Top Chef.
I love lounging.
I fear losing things in hotel rooms.
I hate to fly.
I hate leaving Lucy.
I might like martinis but I am an infrequent drinker.
I love lipsticks, stains, tints and glosses.
I put Vaseline on my eyelashes...my mom taught me this...only when I am not going anywhere...it keeps them nice.
I love reading while watching tv.
I am obsessed with Dance Moms.

Set Three...

I hate when food touches on a plate...I actually own divided cafeteria plates from Crate and Barrel.
I can only eat a peanut butter sandwich without a top...my sister is this way too...we blame our mom.
I often carry a wet soapy washcloth in a Baggie in my purse...again...I blame my mom.
I hate sweet cereal.
I can only eat granola with Greek yogurt.
I have to put the cream in my coffee cup first or it doesn't taste as good.
I am an awesome arranger but a lousy cleaner.
I still wear a retainer.
I wore braces twice.
I crave fish sandwiches after Ash Wednesday...commercials?
I yearn to play the piano.

The End!!!

No Spaces!!!

Unfortunately...even though I have saved and spaced at least a million times...Blogger refuses to allow spaces...what is going on...is it just me?

I am so sorry!!!

Triple Play...Finale!!!

Here is the last of the tagged posts...actually...I am kind of sorry to see them go...

Thus...this last tag came from Jess and Stephanie from The Secret DMS Files Of Fairday Morrow!!!

They have a beautiful blog...they love nature and children and every Monday they post a very thought provoking riddle.  They have even written a book which I will be writing about next week!!!
I love reading their posts.
Plus they are really polite...
I love polite!!!
They pose great bookish questions when they talk about books.  I love bookish questions.

Here are the questions that they tagged me with...

1.  When did you start blogging?
I started this blog...excursion...experiment...frightening adventure...about two years ago when my mom and dad died suddenly and I was very very sad and orphaned.
2.  What is your favorite food?
I am half Italian...Southern Italian...so I love fresh pasta...and veggies... I have to eat pasta at least once a week.
3.  What is your favorite book from
childhood?
Hmmm...I loved anything Nancy Drew...I still have a set of originals that used to be my cousin Louise's.  I want to sell them for a new huge comfy sofa.
Sorry, Louise, you threw them out.
4.  Best concert you have ever attended or what concert would you like to attend?
Don Henley from the original Eagles...loved it...but there were bugs in the restrooms...but I have a dream to go to a Billy Idol concert in a vineyard in Napa...I am Billy Idol obsessed.
5.  PC or Mac?
PC but I am more hooked on my iPad...seriously hooked.
6.  Where do you buy or get most of the books you read?
Amazon, NetGalley, Publishers, and surprises in the mail!!!
7.  If you could be friends with any character from a book, who would you be friends with?
Jacob...I want to run on the beach and hang with the werewolves.
8.  Favorite holiday?
Christmas with Halloween running a close second.
9.  A book you think everyone should read?
Hmmm...The Help or Hunger Games or The Enormous Crocodile or Sideways Stories From Wayside School...love all of these...
10.  If you could have one wish, what would it be?
I want a house in Portland, Maine and Telluride and San Francisco and Santa Fe and an apartment in NYC and Asheville...plus I want to win the lottery so that I can give every sibling 2 million dollars...at least... depending on what we win.
I also want Lucy Grace to not kill a potential new kitten...I already have him named...Winston Oliver or Oliver Winston...but I just don't have the kitten yet and I haven't mentioned this to Lucy Grace...we are waiting for just the right time.  Or we are hoping to sneak him into the house and hoping she doesn't really notice...until he follows her around and she realizes what a good thing Winnie will be in her life.  She needs to learn to share her stuff and me.
I can't just choose one thing...can you tell?
11.  Favorite beverage?
Icy cold fizzy water...Poland Springs or Pelligrino...lots of rocks and lemon or lime.
Whew...all done...but if you see this post twice I either didn't save or it didn't post when I set it to post...
sorry...
hopefully it will only appear once.

Triple Play...Part Two!!!

The second time I was tagged it was by McGuffy Ann...that is her real name...I love it...
She loves animals and nature and books and writes poetry.  She introduced me...through her blog...to her neighbor...who is a bit older and posing holding an owl...a real owl!!!
I think that McGuffy Ann convinced her neighbor to start her own blog.
Awesome!!!

And I have to really thank Ti...from Bookish Chatter...she gave me her idea to do a tag post in my own way.   These posts were actually fun to do this way.

Here are McGuffy Ann's questions.

1. What is your favourite childhood story?
One where kittens ate their mittens but...the mittens were made out of candy.  I loved this book.  And I have searched for it everywhere and never found it.  I even think you could play with the mittens...
Sigh...

2. What was your first vehicle?
I wanted a very cool Carmen Ghia...but my father bought me a Malibu Chevelle...I think.

3. What or who was the first concert you attended?
Hmmm...I have no clue...Black Oak Arkansas?  Neal Diamond?  I am sure it was a winner.

4. How old were you when you had your first kiss?
Sixteen...yep...sixteen...I was shy.

5. Do you have any tattoos? If so, what?
Nope but I really want one.

6. If you don't have tattoos, do you want any? If so, what?
Yep...I really want one...not sure what kind...a flower?
a book?
a paw?

7. What time do you usually get up?
Now that I am not teaching...I get up around 8 o'clock but I don't move for a while.  I read or blog.

8. What is your bedtime routine?
Hmm...we race around the house so Lucy can chase us to try and tire her out.  She is not a kitten but she is very active.  We play hide and then we play with various toys and then we crash in bed.  We love to go up early and play with our iPads...even Lucy will watch movies of herself on my iPad and that helps her to sleep...lol...

9. What is your "irrational" fear?
Oh boy...I think I have a ton of them.  But mostly I fear the time after a bath.  When we first moved into our house I couldn't wait to jump into our whirlpool jetted tub.  The house was days old.  The minute I drained the tub the ceiling in the family room buckled.  The plumber attached the tub things the wrong way.  Ever since then I never take a bath without racing to the family room and looking up!!!

10. If you could go anywhere, to where would it be?
I want to spend a month in Maine to see if I could ever live there...our lives have involved extensive travels and moves...but I love Maine more than any place on Earth.  So Maine...Portland, Maine.  I want to walk to coffee and markets and shops.

11. What is your favourite snack?
My all time favorie snack is Rold Gold pretzels with milk.  Not in milk...a glass of icy cold milk on the side.
Yum.

My second set of questions...

Outside or inside
Sweet or sour
Book or ebook
White walls or colors
Pets or no pets
Summer or winter
Lots of friends or a few very close ones
Book club or no book club
Eat in or go out
Pastels or darks
Twirly pasta or pasta you can eat with a spoon

Have fun!!!

Triple Play!!! Prepare Yourself...This Is Only Part One!!!

I have been tagged by three people...I have lost three tagged posts...but I am happily doing this again.  The questions were fun.  But...I am not going to tag anyone because I think they have all been tagged about a million times already...isn't there an expression that says what goes around comes around?
LOL...
But what I am going to do is pose my questions at the bottom of this post and virtually tag everyone...so if you want to answer you can!!!
Tempting?
I am not posting any rules...you can do whatever you want to do...I am giving you the freedom to make your own choices.
LOL...

My first tag was from Brenda.
She is a writer and an author and an attorney and a mom and she feeds sandwiches and dessert to the homeless almost every Saturday.  She is also a wicked Words With Friends player...she shows no mercy.

Here are her questions...
1.  Wine or beer?
A crisp cold icy martini with olives and rocks on the side...so neither.

2.  Hot or cold?
Cold...I have tons of Uggs and wraps and comfy sweaters and I love to snuggle up in them.

3.  Black or white?
Black...it is my favorite color...noncolor?  It is my first color choice or noncolor choice for everything...dresses, tights, shoes, boots, sweaters, coats, wraps and tunics.  I love black!!!

4.  Spring or Fall?
Hmm...Fall...my passion for pumpkins reigns.

5.  AC or windows?
Depends where we are...Colorado or Maine...open breezy windows...East Coast humid summers...AC definitely!!!

6.  Heater or fire?
Fire...in a woodsy cabin with a stream flowing nearby and loud enough to hear.

7.  Carpet or hard-wood floors?
Hardwood with lovely rugs tossed on top.

8.  Roses or Tulips?
Both...roses...baby blush tea ones and tulips now...everywhere.

9.  Dog or cat?
Cats always...but only soft silky minky coated Tonks like my beloved LG!!!

10. Curtains or shades?
Creamy off white shades from Country Curtains with soft drapes over the top...it's my signature house look for all the homes we have owned.  But I am toying with shutters for the sunroom.  I hate being predictable.

11. Shoes or barefoot?
OMG...love shoes, sandals, flipflops, Uggs...but I love barefootedness in the summer but only in the house.

My questions!!!

Favorite comfort food
Favorite place to visit
Favorite place to walk
Favorite place to read
Favorite place to think things out
Favorite cookie
Favorite ethnic food
Best job ever
Best book you ever read
Best event attended
Most memorable date

Have fun!!!

I am sorry!!!

This post...the mystery one...keeps appearing and disappearing...
I think it has to do with Blogger...of course...never me...and the Blogger iPad app and laptop blogger...

I am learning the hard way that you can't work on both...or make changes...

Please don't worry about commenting...that will be my punishment for annoying everyone today!!!

I deserve it...even my book photos changed!!!

I am even frustrating Lucy!!!

This Was So Good!!!

I loved this book!!! But I have been in a mystery loving craving kind of mood lately. I think that if I am a bit restless I turn to my stash of really amazing mysteries.

This one literally has everything...a quirky dysfunctional psychiatrist, tons of dysfunctional characters, a stolen child and twenty years later a second stolen child with connections to the first unsolved case.

Yum!!!

I can't even count the number of flawed intense characters encountered in this novel...it was awesome!!!
The ending...quite unbelievable...and...this book is the first of a series!!!

If you love Elizabeth George, Deborah Crombie, Carol O'Connell and Val McDermid novels...you will love this book. Toss Ellie Griffith in that mix, too...these books are mysteries with that quirky fun flawed character bonus.

Lately the mysteries that I love revolve around strong yet offbeat women as their central characters.

Delicious stuff..far more intense than a cozy mystery...

Even Alan Bradley's Flavia de Luce...next on my list...is a quirky flawed heroine...

I am saving this one for a restless rainy day.

Can't Wait To Read These!!!

You know how it is...certain books sort of call your name softly...others sort of shout it!!!

Here are just a few of my shouters!!! They are all different but all scrumptious!!!

And out of the blue...this book that I was going to buy anyway...was in a lovely package in the mail last week!!!

Thank you so much, Hyperion and Voice Publishing...this was an awesome surprise!!!

Throwing In The Tagged Towel...

I give up!!!

I have been tagged twice and written tagged posts three times and because I was trying to manage the posts on both my laptop and my iPad2...and because I did not set the dates correctly...they disappeared...one disappeared after I wrote it twice and the other one was a Part Two...and did not make sense without Part 1 so I deleted it.

Yep...all that lovely cleverness...gone!!!

I was the kid who erased and erased if my writing didn't look just right...sigh!!!

I am over tag for a while...my apologies to Brenda and McGuffey Ann...I tried...I should have posted them right away...
