Random Acts Of Randomness!

I forgot to post this post yesterday so it's combined with this post today.

Hmmm...am I too scheduled? Plus this doesn't even count all the Notes on my ipad!
Plus...I still buy stickers!

Two surprises in the mail!

Just now finished...a very emotionally taut rendering with characters who have tons of issues...the narrator...young...irritatingly annoying...but redeeming himself at the end. I loved the way this author ended this dark Southern disturbing book!

This is up next...YA Weird which I love.

I want this...when I buy these "summer frocks" from Australia...they get here in two days! I live in these in the summer...one more would make me so happy! I toss these on for everything...so comfy...they wash beautifully...but...this would be my brightest one!

We are staying in today. Den is zipping out to fetch lunch and dinner stuff...for us and the girls...it's cold and dreary here...inside sounds too good.

We are all peacefully napping or binge watching TV...

Happy week end! See you with new books on Monday!

I Am Wildly Free!

I just finished this book...it was weird, funny, kind of enjoyable. Do you ever have a fascination with a book mostly because the characters do all of the things that you would never ever in a million years do? That's what made this book fun...not a fave but fun!

Now I have five days...five delicious days before I need to write another review...a review that is promised and due...so...in that time I will continue to savor this book. It is sad, disturbing and very difficult to put down. I slept with my Kindle and my glasses
as well as Lucy last night. When I woke up the first thing I did was open my Kindle and start to read. Lucy purred on!

Happy Reading!

Wednesday Is Fun Day!

So...here is the thing...Den has been going to physical therapy for an old sports related injury...and his therapist has been telling him about lots really cool restaurants in a town we have never heard of...or...rather we have heard of it but never bothered to even think we needed to go there for any reason...until today! From our driveway to this town? Probably 16 miles...and we never even thought about going there! It's quaint and filled with foodie places...the kinds of places that we love...so...today we had lunch here...in a global Asian Fusion kind of place...called Azie's...we loved it! It was refreshingly global!

Reading these...

Happy Wednesday!

Baking And Books!

I have this weird yen to bake doughy things...there is something about seeing dough rise that is so exciting! Den's study is the warmest place in the downstairs so when the dough is made...I put it in an antique earthenware bowl...that my dad bought me...cover it with Press And Seal and a red tea towel...the same red tea towel every time...and an hour or two later the dough has risen to the top! It's magic! Yesterday I made the Pioneer Woman's Cinnamon Bread! It was wonderful...Den and I are having a toasted slice later with tea while we watch The Bachelor...also known as Prince Farming. I have Den seriously hooked on The Bachelor! My bread looks just like this other than mine sunk a tiny bit in the middle...sigh...I think I needed a larger baking pan...

Finishing this in minutes...it's an amazing family story about life during and just after WWI.

The minute my review is done I am back to this book. I can't wait!

Happy Reading!

It's All About These Lovely Books!

Chores done...

Laundry...almost done...

Dinner planned...

Lunch...hmmm...I forgot about lunch!

Reading this...in a real book...I am enthralled with WWI historical fiction...this book is fascinating because it's focused on one particular family...as they grow and change.

Loving this but I had to stop it until I read my sort of war book.

New books...

Off to read!

Pizza! Pizza!

We are watching/listening to the Oscars while we are reading...there is no way to just actually watch this show...the thank you's are making me crazy...they are endless...I am sure it is just me...so everyone who is loving it? Ignore my mild ranting...

I made homemade baby pizzas! Turkey sausage and exotic mushrooms...yum!

Cannoli bean, goat cheese and spinach...it sounds weird but it was delicious.

Listening to Tug McGraw sing the Glenn Campbell song...so sad...

Off to listening to the Oscars again...

Happy Sunday!
